Our research program operates at the intersection of biology and engineering. We are developing synthetic biology techniques in both yeast and plants to understand and leverage the plant natural product biosynthetic process, ultimately advancing plant-based drug discovery and development. Additionally, we aim to exploit and manipulate the plant's communication systems to enable whole-plant control and programming.
